Opera 11.60 Released

Opera Software has released a new version of its Opera browser, 11.60, for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris.  The new version is supposed to improve start-up speed and to reduce memory usage; it also includes a number of new features:

  • A new HTML rendering engine, which improves HTML 5 and CSS support
  • Improved search results in the address bar
  • Improved JavaScript support
  • A reworked interface for the E-mail client

More information on the new features is available at the Opera site (the page also has links to the detailed change logs).  The “WebMonkey” blog at Wired has a brief review of the new version.

You can download the new version here.
