Opera 11.10 Released

Opera software has released a new version of its Opera browser, version 11.10, for Mac OS X, Linux/UNIX, and Windows.  The new version incorporates a number of bug fixes and stability improvements, as well as some new features, including:

  • A new “Presto” 2.8 rendering engine
  • Support for Google’s WebP image format
  • URL Filter API for Extensions
  • Plug-in installation wizard

There are numerous other additions and improvements; the change logs and release notes have more details for Windows, Linux/UNIX, and Mac OS X.

You can obtain the new version using the built-in update mechanism (Help > Check for Updates); Linux users should be able to get the updated package using the standard package management tools (e.g., Synaptic).  Alternatively, you can download a complete installation package.
