I have frequently mentioned the Internet Storm Center, run by the SANS Institute, in connection with security issues. In addition to providing that valuable clearing house for security bulletins, SANS also offers a variety of educational programs on a range of security topics.
SANS now has an additional site, dedicated to security awareness training, called Securing the Human. It has, as one might expect, a number of pages explaining SANS’s educational offerings, but it also offers a selection of free newsletters, and a blog focused on topics related to security awareness. I think it’s a useful resource for security folks and for IT managers; those of us who have had some experience in the security area know that the part of the system between the keyboard and chair can be the trickiest to secure.
