Apple has released a new version of its Safari Web browser, version 4.0.4, for Mac OS X and Windows. The new version addresses six identified security vulnerabilities, some of which could be exploited to enable remote code execution. The updated version is available at the Apple download site. If you are using Safari, I recommend installing this update as soon as its reasonably convenient.
